Prerequisites
- Python 3.11, 3.14
- For the 1.7.0 modular release,
pip install "deeptutor[full]"installs the packaged Web app; baredeeptutor(or thedeeptutor-clicompatibility alias) installs core CLI/SDK only. For development, use source or local wheels. Source installs requirepip install -r requirements/full.txtfollowed bypip install -e . --no-deps; add Node.js 22 LTS andnpm ci --legacy-peer-depsinweb/for the Web UI. See the setup guide for upgrading from 1.6.15 without changing the runtime home. - Run
deeptutor initfor first-time interactive setup. It walks a guided wizard (ports → LLM → embedding → search → review) and writes the same settings as the Web Settings page underdata/user/settings. Add--clito skip the ports step for CLI-only use, or--home <path>to target a specific workspace.
