What it does
Airtable REST API CLI with offline cross-base search, CSV merge-upserts, field-level diffs before bulk writes, and schema drift detection. Trigger phrases: `query my Airtable base`, `sync this CSV into Airtable`, `search across my Airtable bases`, `check Airtable schema changes`, `upsert records into Airtable`, `use airtable-cli`, `run airtable-pp-cli`.
Airtable, Printing Press CLI
Prerequisites: Install the CLI
This skill drives the airtable-pp-cli binary. You must verify the CLI is installed before invoking any command from this skill. If it is missing, install it first:
- Install via the Printing Press installer. It defaults binaries to
$HOME/.local/binon macOS/Linux and%LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\PrintingPress\binon Windows:npx -y @mvanhorn/printing-press-library install airtable --cli-only - Verify:
airtable-pp-cli --version - Ensure the reported install directory is on
$PATHfor the agent/runtime that will invoke this skill.
If the npx install fails (no Node, offline, etc.), fall back to a direct Go install (requires Go 1.26.9 or newer). This installs into $GOPATH/bin (default $HOME/go/bin), so add that directory to $PATH instead:
go install github.com/mvanhorn/printing-press-library/library/productivity/airtable/cmd/airtable-pp-cli@latest
If --version reports "command not found" after install, the runtime cannot see the binary directory on $PATH. Do not proceed with skill commands until verification succeeds.
Airtable's wrappers are libraries, and its official MCP is an online-only tool surface without delete, comments, webhooks, attachments, or a local store. This CLI mirrors your bases into local SQLite for full-text search across every base at once, runs CSV-to-merge-upserts, shows field-level diffs before bulk writes, and serves the whole API to agents over stdio or HTTP MCP.
